Wa alaikum salaam sister Masha Allah.. welcome to Islam! I'm a revert too ? The best decision you have made and its only by the grace and mercy of Allah that you have been guided to the truth. I have a lot of contacts and know many sisters who are reverts and have very similar backgrounds to you. You're part of the family now...they'll be glad to chat to you. Are you on Facebook or do you have an email?

Salaam alaikum sister, I reverted September 2015 so I'm still learning too. Like you, I also come from a Christian family so I can relate to the struggles you've been having. If you want to talk I could give you some of my contact details :-)

Wa alaykum assalaam sister Allahu Akbar! Congrats on your reversion to Islam . It has always been my dream to assist reverts in their struggles as new Muslims. I'd be happy to talk to you if you'd like or just answer your questions in general in shaa Allah. Let me know if you're interested .

Waalaikum salaam
I too am a recent convert and grew up in a Christian home. I was battling with my decision due to my family but once I converted I knew I made the right decision. I feel uncomfortable at times, I find my female friends have started to treat me differently. Some of my family members say things that make me want to breakdown and cry but I try to overlook and stand strong in my faith.
I am happy I found this board. A great way to speak to other Muslims for support and inspiration.

Assalum Alakum,
I recently reverted to Islam in January of this year. I am crazy pumped about it, but I also struggle so much with my faith and the community. I was raised Christian and my family is Christian and it's just a mess of religion right now but Allah is here with me I feel that and he's guiding me along the way. I would like to get to know some more Muslim women. My life right now is crazy. I'm a college senior with so much stuff going on and things to do, so like meeting in person is extremely difficult for me. So if there are any Muslim sisters that like have some life advice or some struggles or anything, I am down for conversation. I'm currently learning how to pray and I have been trying to switch my thinking about things so that I'm not connecting everything to Christianity but more of realizing my new identity as a Muslim. Asalaamu alaikum sister. I would love to conversate with you. Like you I need more sisters to connect with and also my family background is Christian. However I am trying to teach my kids about Islam from I know but they do practice as I do. And even for me practicing become a little hard because I am the only one who is trying to practice. Feel free to email me at mmrichard73@gmail.com

Hi, I'm really new to Islam. I was raised in a very strict Roman Catholic household and have been asking a lot of questions to my Muslim friend in Morocco. I have not fully converted because I don't feel knowledgeable enough but I have decided to practice Ramadan in an effort to improve my relationship with God. I'm a little nervous because there are no Muslims where I live so I'm completely alone in this. In fact I told my friend at work I was going to practice Ramadan so I couldn't have lunch with her for the month and she actually laughed. Looking for any support at all with any kind words and any suggestions to help me succeed at my first Ramadan. Thank you for listening.
