Asalamu Alaykum brothers and sisters,
Being a 26 year old American Pakistani female in America has been a challenge. I used to wear my head scarf in high school and in college for a while and I recently decided not to wear it anymore on December 2014.
I am single and struggling to find a companion of the same faith that is white. I’m interested in converts because of the beautiful stories of how they converted inspires me to be a better muslima. Yet, my family of origin is Pakistani, I am open minded to White, Middle Eastern, European, etc. Muslims.
I hope to gain some more insight from fellow Muslims about their experiences and challenges they have faced in America, being single or married, finding a partner, becoming closer to Allah, etc.
